Shrewsbury 1, The Mighty 1
Suppose we should be happy with an away point, but we have begun to let leads go a bit too often now.
We need 3 points v Chesterfield or our season's going nowhere. Bit harsh, but I am looking for automatic promo rather than the piss-offs. Just under 500 managed to swim down there, not too bad considering there was always the threat of a postponement.

Shrewsbury is a tough place to go so im not in such a bad mood as I usually am after a defeat...just a bit annoyed we dont get any luck when we need it most!

Bury were excellent today and deserved a win. In atrocious conditions, they managed to restrict Shrewsbury to just one or two chances. Nardiello was a class act once again creating and finishing for our goal whilst he generally gave the home defenders a tough afternoon.
In the second half we had chances to finish it with Worrall the most guilty firing wide with a couple of minutes left before Shrewsbury equalised in the 90th minute. To be honest, whilst they didn't create much, a home goal always looked likely.

Throughout the game, the Shrewsbury players seemed as keen on getting Sodje sent of as they were on winning the game. On this occasion, unlike last season, they failed.

It felt like a defeat although on reflection, a draw is an excellent result. Other positives include the return of David Worrall and the extension of our league run to 10 games unbeaten.

A very good run of form with depleted resources......What worries me is that at about this time each year (well based on the last couple of seasons or so)Bury go off on their unsanctioned mid season break. This usually involves the ending of a searingly hot start to the season (? surely some mistake there ed.) and the commencement of a record breaking run of - home defeats/away defeats/defeats in all competitions/fewest goals for ever recorded/or whatever they focus on for this particular year. Then just when all seems lost, they return from their "winter break" and storm through the last third of the season. I am sure they have set some or other negative record in each of the last few seasons during the middle third period. I can't wait to see what it will be this year. Of course this could all be total tosh. I am after all very very old.

Yea, not a bad point, despite conceding at the end I still wasn't too down about it. I was listening to radio Shropshire on the way back to gauge the locals response to it and I wouldn't say they were particularly happy. With their millions they want to be a bit higher up the league!
Did anyone notice whilst they were celebrating winning the world cup, one of their players (i think it may have been their number 3) had put the ball back on the centre spot and was yelling at his team mates to get back and start the game. Good pro I thought, with 4 mins of fergie time and having just equalised he fancied another one.
