2-0 vs Barnet BBrow's view
A routine 2-0 win against a Barnet side that rarely threatened Brown into making a save.

A fairly uneventful first 45 minutes that only saw Morrell get a half chance saved and the Barnet full back booked for sliding in on Worrell, and BBM going off for 5 minutes for a face wound. Then in added time Morrell was fouled in the box and the ref pointed to the spot. Nardiello calmly slotted it away.

The second half was better with Bury trying to get the killer second goal. The keeper was forced to make a couple of good saves and a few shots flew wide. Out of nothing a long ball was punted forward that the keeper looked favourite to beat Worrell to. Worrell flicked the ball over the advancing keeper and headed it into the empty net. Game over.

We should have added a third when Lowe rounded the keeper at an acute angle but Morrell couldn't get the killer shot in.

In extra time the Barnet full back got to warm the showers up with a second yellow and then a red card for a cynical pull back to stop Worrell breaking through.

Job done.

I was following the match on my phone as I traipsed round the London Transport Museum with my 5 year old. Put me in a right good mood it did. The match result I mean. The stats said though Barnet had 50% of possesion they only had 1 shot on target, while we had 12? Sounds like the defenders did a great job shutting them out. The chap on loan from Blackpool seems to be an inspiring character up front. Did his loan get extended or will he go back anytime now?
